Creating individual healthcare plans (IHPs)

What's changed?

We've updated our care plan forms to align with the fields in the DFE's allergy template. The update includes three new fields:

• Impact on education
• Arrangements for support
• Visits & trips

We've also renamed and re-ordered some existing fields.

All fields are optional and appear on page 2 of the form, after you click Next.

We recognise the importance of capturing this information for students with any condition, not just allergies, and so have made these available in all care plan types.

What will I see?

What you see will depend on your school's settings:

• Online and uploaded care plans: Both form types will have a second page for consistency. Previously, these fields only appeared on online care plans.
• Online care plans only: The second page will appear as usual, with the additional fields.
• Uploaded care plans only: There will be no second page, as is currently the case.

What do I need to do?

Most customers do not need to do anything.

Any schools wanting to use their own uploaded documents without the additional page of the form need a super admin or user with admin permissions to make the following change:

1. Head to Settings > Medical conditions

2. Turn the Create online care plans toggle to OFF

3. Save your changes.
