Daily sync
Data from your school's MIS is synced every weekday around 6am GMT. In practice, this means that any changes you make during the course of the day today will appear in Medical Tracker first thing tomorrow.
Forcing a sync
You can request a fresh sync of data from your MIS at any time by heading to Settings > Add ons and clicking the Save and update now button. This process can take up to 30 minutes, but will then populate Medical Tracker with the latest data contained in Groupcall or Wonde.
It's important to know that there is a delay between when you update your MIS, and when your third party provider—Groupcall or Wonde—receives that data through.
Groupcall
All data is updated every night and this will come through to Medical Tracker the following morning.
If you need to update the data in Medical Tracker in the middle of a school day, you can do this by accessing your school portal on Groupcall Xporter and clicking the Refresh button. This will trigger Xporter to populate the latest data from your MIS. This could take up to an hour depending on the size of your school.
Once this is complete, you will need to manually update Medical Tracker through Settings > Add ons > Groupcall > Save & Update now.
Wonde
Different data types are updated at different intervals:
- Student records are updated every 2 hours
- Staff records are updated every 2 hours
- Medical conditions are updated every 6 hours
- Student and staff photos are updated once a week
If you need to update the data in Medical Tracker in the middle of a school day, you can do this by forcing a sync on the Wonde portal. This can take up to and hour depending on the size of the school but it is still subject to the time intervals above.
For example, if you update medical conditions in your MIS and immediately trigger a sync, it's unlikely that the new medical conditions will come through as it is still within the 6 hour window.
Once this is complete, you will need to manually update Medical Tracker through Settings > Add ons > Wonde > Save & Update now.
