Logging a call when you have informed parents of an incident ensures you have an audit trail of your communication with them.
How do I record a phone call that is made to parents?
Step 1. From the dashboard, go to the Incidents module.
Step 2. You can now see all the incidents from the current day. Click on the incident you would like to log a phone call for.
Top tip: If, for any reason, you need to send a notification retrospectively, you can change the date range on the left-hand side.
Step 3. Click on the 'Send notification' button
Step 4. Click on the 'Parents/carers notification' button and select 'Phone call' from the drop-down

Step 5. Fill out the fields 'Person spoke to' and 'Message' - when completed, press the 'Done' button
Within the incident, under 'Communication', you can now see a log of the phone call (you may need to scroll down the page for this to become visible).
